light weight wrap [Jun. 29th, 2007|01:42 pm]

Anyone have a suggestion about a place where I can either purchase a ready-made wrap (like Moby or something), or a type of material I can use to make a wrap that is really light weight and stretchy? I need something that is even lighter than terry or t-shirt material. I need something that is maybe mesh? My baby gets so freaking hot in my normal Moby wrap.

Thanks in advance :)

hey, im gonna recommend you look into woven wraps. a vatanai is very light and thin and also supportive. the woven pattern lets airflow in and out better too.

you could also experiment with different carries that do not use so much fabric over the baby. moby wrap with stretchy material needs more reinforcement to get the baby secure, but a woven wrap does the job with one pass (no cummerbund in the cross carry).

HTH, if you have any more ?s reply! :)
